Get the care you deserve.

Mary Haug, LCSW

I have always had a desire to work with underrepresented and marginalized groups, starting with being involved with Community of Caring during public school and moving into the Service Learning program during my undergraduate studies at the University of Utah. These volunteer opportunities exposed me to the variety of ways that being a social worker can engage with the community. Following my undergraduate work I began working at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute as a psychiatric technician which brought me into the mental health field. Through this work I developed a love working in crisis and trauma work.

A person-centered approach

Through my own process of building emotional and mental resiliency and need for outside support, as well as helping family members navigate the mental health system, I have discovered the need for individualistic and client centered services. Having worked with so many diverse populations has taught me that all people are able to get to a place of wellness, if given the tools, including unconditional positive regard and support.
